Bonding Adhesives

MG Chemicals offers 1-part and 2-part bonding adhesives that provide significant bond strength to similar and dissimilar substrates. These epoxy adhesives are used in a wide range of industrial applications where long-lasting load bearing joints are required. They provide stiff resistance to impact, vibration, and thermal and mechanical shock.

Features & Benefits

  • Strong adhesion to a variety of substrates
  • Excellent chemical and moisture resistance
  • Exceptional durability and toughness
  • Even stress distribution over the entire bonded surface
  • Enhanced galvanic corrosion protection in metal assemblies
  • Excellent sealing capacity against unwanted liquids and gases
  • Weight and cost reduction through elimination of conventional metal fasteners
  • Solvent free
  • Lower cost and increased productivity
  • Excellent gap filling
  • Long shelf life

Applications

  • Automobile body panels
  • Bonding to vertical surfaces
  • Battery assembly (cell-to-cell or cell-to-carrier)
  • Aircraft structural adhesives
  • Surface mount technology
  • Die attach
  • Sealing
  • Potting
  • Gap filling
  • Bonding windows

One-part

9310 – General purpose adhesive, unlimited working time, heat cure only. It does not require frozen storage and reduces manufacturing cost by eliminating mixing process of epoxy resin and hardener. Glass transition temperature of 113 °C.

Two-part

9200 – Structural adhesive, 30 minutes working time, 1 to 1 mix ratio. Excellent bond strength to a wide variety of substrates, Extreme resistance to vibration and temperature cycling. Superior tensile, compressive and lap shear strength. Viscous, yet flowable enough to be dispensed from a syringe or a mixing tip. Can be cured at room temperature or higher.

9200FR – Structural adhesive, UL 94V-0 rated (flame retardant), 30 minutes working time, 1 to 1 mix ratio.

8332 – Fast set epoxy, 8 minutes working time, 1 to 1 mix ratio. Excellent bond strength to a wide variety of substrates. Can be dispensed from a syringe or a mixing tip. Can be cured at room temperature or higher.
