Step by Step Process
for the Negative Presensitized Board

Obtain Exposure and Photofabrication Kits Create artwork Place artwork on board Place acrylic weight on artwork and board Expose 5 min. with Exposure Kit Mix Developer 10:1 with water Brush developer over board (1 - 2 min) Rinse Etch with Ferric Chloride (4 - 5 min) Rinse


Photofabrication Kit and Exposure Kit
1. Obtain M.G. Chemicals Photofabrication Kit (Cat. No. 416-K) and Exposure Kit (Cat. No. 416-X).

Presensitized Board

2. Print artwork on Transparency Film (Cat. No. 416-T) using a 600 dpi or higher resolution laser printer.
Place artwork on board
3. Place artwork on board.

Exposure Lamp (from 416-X Kit)

Presensitized copper clad board
Secure artwork with the acrylic weight

4. Secure artwork with the acrylic weight provided.

Expose board for 5 minutes
5. Expose board for 10 minutes.

Dilute the developer 1:10 with water
6. Dilute the developer 1:10 with water.

Tap water (10 parts)

Negative Developer (1 part)
Brush developer over board

7. Put on rubber gloves.

Peel protective covering and place your exposed board in the diluted developer solution. Brush lightly with smoother brush until exposed resist is removed.
(1 - 2 min)

Step8
8. Rinse board in water. Dispose of the residue solution properly.
Step9

9. Place board in ferric chloride until the unprotected copper is removed and your artwork becomes visible on the board. (10 - 15 min)

You may use the Professional or Economy Etching Kit instead of Ferric Chloride.

Step10
10. Rinse board in water to finish your board. Dispose of the residue etchant according to your local regulations.
