Our new 8361-140G Label and Adhesive Remover is ready for sale.
As many are aware, the California Air Resource Board ("CARB") set a very strict limit of for the amount of VOC's that are allowed in Label and Adhesive Removers in California; only 20% VOC's are allowed. This was viewed by many manufacturers as being impossible to meet, because generally label and adhesive removers are 75% VOC's, the only non-VOC component being the aerosol propellant.
This limit came into effect on January 1, 2007. Companies are allowed to sell product manufactured before that date up until Dec 31, 2009, but many companies have already sold through their old stock, and have been unable to successfully reformulate their products, so most label and adhesive removers in the USA right now are listed as being "not for sale in California".
Aside from the obvious inconvenience this poses to businesses located in California, it has also become a major headache for national distributors, who have had to implement inventory-tracking systems to make sure no label and adhesive remover is actually shipped there.
MG Chemicals has overcome this issue with a successful reformulation. Our new formula is fully compliant to CARB regulations, and in our opinion, the new formula is even more effective than the old one. We're proud to offer California a workable solution to their dilemma, and national distributors now have an option for a label and adhesive remover that can be legally sold anywhere in North America.
